Dear User
we would like to inform you that Applied S.r.l., as the Data Controller (hereinafter, "Data Controller"), respects your privacy and considers the protection of your personal data one of the priority objectives of its business, complying with the provisions of the European Regulation 2016/679 (GDPR) and applicable national legislation.
The purpose of this Privacy Policy, drafted in accordance with Article 13 of the GDPR, is to explain to you in a simple and transparent manner what data is collected through this website (hereinafter, "Site") and for what purposes. Furthermore, we intend to explain to you how to effectively exercise your rights.
1. Who processes your personal data?
The Data Controller is Applied S.r.l., with registered office in Via Speranza, 35 - San Lazzaro (BO). The Data Controller has appointed a Data Protection Officer ("Data Protection Officer" or "DPO") who can be reached at the following e-mail address dpo.gruppo@Applied.it In order to obtain further clarifications regarding the processing activities, as well as to request assistance in exercising the rights provided for the protection of your personal data, you may contact the Data Controller at the following e-mail address privacy@applied.it Please also note that this statement only applies to the www.applied.it website and not to other websites that may be consulted via links. Moreover, the personal data you provide may be processed by the Controller's employees and collaborators, who have been authorised and trained so that processing is carried out in full compliance with the principles of lawfulness, correctness, transparency, purpose limitation and storage, data minimisation, accuracy, integrity and confidentiality.
2. What data is processed?
Before telling you what data is processed through this Site, we would like to explain that, for the purposes of the applicable legislation, "personal data" means any information relating to an identified or identifiable natural person ("data subject"). An identifiable natural person is one who can be identified, directly or indirectly, by reference in particular to an identifier such as a name, an identification number, location data, an online identifier or to one or more features of his or her physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural or social identity. That said, when you access and navigate on this Website, the following types of data are processed:
a. Navigation data
The computer systems and software applications used to operate this Website acquire, during their normal operation, certain personal data whose transmission is implicit in the use of Internet communication protocols. This information is not collected in order to be associated with identified interested parties, but by its very nature could, through processing and association with data held by third parties, allow users to be identified. This category of data includes the IP addresses or domain names of the computers used by users who connect to the Site, the URI (Uniform Resource Identifier) notation addresses of the resources requested, the time of the request, the method used to submit the request to the server, the size of the file obtained in response, the numerical code indicating the status of the response given by the server (successful, error, etc.) and other parameters relating to the user's operating system and IT environment. This data is used in order to obtain anonymous statistical information on the use of the Site and to check its correct functioning. However, such data could also be used to ascertain responsibility in the event of hypothetical computer crimes to the detriment of the Site itself.
b. Data provided voluntarily by the user
This refers to the personal data that you voluntarily provide when you contact the addresses indicated on this Website for the purposes specified from time to time. In relation to these processing operations, we invite you to read the respective disclosures on the Website in the appropriate sections.
c. Cookies and other tracking systems
Cookies are small text files that sites visited by the user send and store on the user's computer or mobile device, to be transmitted back to the same sites the next time the user visits. There are various types of cookies depending on their duration, characteristics and functions. The Data Protection Authority has distinguished two macro-categories:
• technical cookies: used for the sole purpose of 'carrying out the transmission of a communication over an electronic communications network, or to the extent strictly necessary for the provider of an information society service explicitly requested by the contracting party or user to provide such a service' (Art. 122, c. 1 Legislative Decree 196/2003). In other words, technical cookies are necessary for the proper functioning of the Site and allow you to access its functions. They can be further divided into:
- navigation or session cookies, which ensure normal navigation and use of the Website;
- analytics cookies, which are assimilated to technical cookies where they are used directly by the Website operator to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the Website;
- functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a set of selected criteria (e.g. language) in order to improve the service rendered to the same.
Precisely by virtue of their characteristics and functions, under applicable law, the user's prior consent is not required for the use of such technical cookies;
• profiling cookies: aimed at creating profiles relating to the user and used in order to send advertising messages in line with the preferences expressed by the user while browsing the web. Unlike the previous ones, the use of such cookies requires the user's prior consent.
Having said this, please note that while browsing the Site you will receive both technical cookies - aimed at facilitating your user experience and enabling the Controller to perform statistical analyses in an anonymous and aggregate form - for which your consent is not required, and profiling cookies - aimed at presenting you with relevant and engaging advertisements - the installation of which is subject to your prior consent issued through a banner and in any case manageable by clicking on the appropriate icon on each page of the Site, where you can, at any time, revoke any consent given previously without affecting your ability to visit the site and enjoy its contents.
We also remind you that the installation of technical cookies occurs automatically, once you have accessed the Site or to activate certain functionalities (e.g. language settings). However, you can always decide to disable them by changing the settings of your browser: in this case, however, you may experience some problems in navigating and using the Site.
3. For what purposes are your personal data processed and how long are they stored?
The personal data you provide through the Site are processed for the following purposes:
a) to allow you to correctly navigate the Site, as well as an adequate enjoyment of its contents. The legal basis for such processing is that set out in Article 130.4 of the Privacy Code (Legislative Decree 196/2003). The personal data collected for this purpose are kept until the moment you exercise your right to opt out of a communication, or until the moment you inform us at the following e-mail address privacy@applied.it that you no longer wish to be contacted for this purpose.
g) to allow the Controller to send you communications (e-mail, newsletter) of a commercial and/or promotional nature. The legal basis for such processing is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) of the GDPR). The personal data processed for this purpose are kept until your consent is revoked.

In relation to the terms of deletion of personal data processed via cookies, you can find all the necessary information within the banner or by clicking on the appropriate icon on each page of the Site.
Please note that the provision of your personal data for the above-mentioned purposes is optional; however, failure to provide them may, depending on the case compromise the correct navigation of the Site, prevent the Controller from acknowledging your request, prevent the Controller from considering your application, preclude you from receiving the requested brochure, preclude you from receiving any communications relating to the products and services in respect of which you have expressed interest, preclude you from receiving communications (e-mails, newsletters) of a commercial and/or promotional nature, preclude you from viewing personalised advertisements.
