What cookies does www.applied.it use

On this site are used
- technical cookies, which ensure the proper fruition of the contents of the site;
- third-party Analytics cookies as a tool for anonymous and aggregate analysis of the behavior of surfers on the site;
- third party profiling cookies used to promote offers in line with your needs.

What are cookies?
Cookies are small text strings that a website can send, while browsing, to the user's device (be it a PC, a notebook, a smartphone, a tablet; they are usually stored directly on the browser used for browsing). The same website that sent them, then, can read and record cookies that are on the device to obtain information of various kinds.

How many types of cookies are there?
There are various types of cookies, with different characteristics.
Cookies can be classified, first of all, as:

  • session cookies, which are deleted immediately when the browsing browser is closed (for example, Internet Explorer, Safari, Google Chrome, etc.).
  • persistent cookies, which - unlike session cookies - remain in the device and continue to operate even after the browser is closed and until a certain period of time has elapsed
  • first party cookies, i.e. cookies generated and managed directly by the manager of the website on which the user is surfing
  • third party cookies, which are generated and managed by parties other than the operator of the website on which the user is browsing (by virtue, as a rule, of a contract between the owner of the website and the third party).

The two functional macro-categories are:

Technical cookies
technical cookies are generally necessary for the correct functioning of the website and to allow navigation; without them the surfer may not be able to view the pages correctly or use certain services. For example, a technical cookie is indispensable to keep the user connected during the whole visit to a website, or to memorize the settings of the language, of the visualization, and so on. Technical cookies can be further divided into navigation cookies, which ensure the normal navigation and use of the website (allowing, for example, to make a purchase or authenticate to access restricted areas); analytics cookies, assimilated to technical cookies only when used directly by the operator of the site to collect information, in aggregate form, on the number of users and how they visit the site; functionality cookies, which allow the user to navigate according to a set of selected criteria (for example, language, products selected for purchase) in order to improve the service provided to the same.

Profiling cookies
Profiling cookies are designed to create profiles of the user and are used to promote offers in line with the preferences expressed by the same as part of web browsing.
Since these tools are not necessary for the proper functioning of the site but are used exclusively to allow the surfer to learn about the offers that best suit his needs, Applied S.r.l., to the extent of its competence, allows the user / surfer the opportunity to enable or disable them by providing the link to the information on cookies of the owner.
